A brilliant kitty told me that there was a tea party today and that we ALL were invited! That's A LOT of tea! So, seeing as she was in her bathrobe, I decided that there was no real impetus for me to get all dressed up. Boy, was I wrong! The hostess looks DIVINE and while I haven't gotten the chance to mingle with everyone yet, I'm sure they are all lovely as well. Even Ashley looks cute in her robe! Here are the instructions, if you want to come too. Please say you do! It will last all day and it's good for us to get out and about every once in awhile. Mingle with all the other attendees; I know I surely intend to!
For the occasion, I took inventory of all my mugs and decided that this little gem was DEFINITELY my fav!
I mean, how could it not be?! It's an owl, for one. An adorable, well-mannered, owl. And he's so polite. He even keeps my moustache clean!
Lovely!
And since we are supposed to bring treats, I thought I would bring along some of my tea stash and my precious silver children's tea service for everyone to use. It makes me so happy!
I hope everyone gets as big of a kick out of them as I do. And I'd just like to apologize to everyone before hand -- its likely that I'll eat all the clementines. Sometimes foxes don't like to share with the other animals.
While I'm partying, I'm also working on some things for a shop update, namely 4 scarves. I just pulled the cotton out of the wash, so I can get cutting here when I'm done with this post. I'm so tempted to keep one of each, for my love for these two prints knows no bounds. My wallet, however, does and is a cruel mistress. She's beaten me twice today already. I had to hide her in the closet so I could make this post to you. Please don't tell her I'm at a party. I fear I'd never hear the end of it.
edit: Apparently, minkee and cotton are from two different dimensions. 60 inches in one, is not 60 inches in the other, no matter how carefully you measure. Chenille is from a similar universe.
edit #2: The fabric and I have talked... well, it really said nothing and I mostly swore, but I have finished one scarf with minimal injury and IT IS WONDERFUL! So soft and slinky and the bead fringe appeals to my love for shiny. And the paisley... oh lord, the PAISLEY. I may divorce Brian and marry this scarf.
Absolutely adorable post. I couldn't think of a nicer way to make new Blogpanions!
