I love strawberry season, how ever short lived it may be around here. These were BIG. Like, as big as my head. But I made short work of them.
After I finished eating, I patted my tummy and snuggled all happily into my chair. But my reverie was disturbed by the postman. I quickly ran to the door to see what goodies he may have brought me today. GOOD ONES!
My Netflix came and so did my DOLL QUILT! YAY! It's sooooo awesome! Look at all those yo-yos. Who knew they came in so many shapes?! And look at the back. I love it too!
Hooray! Just look at these teenie tiny stitches! I feel spoiled! See my flickr for more detail shots.
After such beautimous mail, I felt inspired, so I started whipping up a few pin cushions for the shop.
It's a beginning, at least. Especially if you take into account my pre-period funk. Because I'm deeply mired in it, let me tell you. However, I figured my fatalistic monthly perspective didn't make for good blogging. Luckily, I was saved by the postman!
Oh! The inside of my left ear has been itching all day. I'm entertaining the idea that a big bug crawled in it. Because I saw that in a movie once. Anyone have any ideas on what to do, you know, in case it's something more run-of-the-mill?
LOVE BUG!!!! it is a love bug! Or, perhaps that snake? It's beautiful sweet selfs fangs bit you! You are the one who took it home and thought it was cute....hee hee...Oooo, your mail is scrumptious! I miss you! I know you are going to get sick of this phrase, but I have been swamped at work. It has been just crrrazy! XXO, V

I just bought some strawberries that were HUGE, as well. As big as your head, dang, that's kinda big. When I smile, my face kinda looks like it's shaped like a strawberry. I love your quilt. One of my favorite professors is having a baby in June and I want to take a stab at making a summer quilt for her. I don't even know where to begin, though! I wouldn't stick anything in your ear. Um, maybe have your hubby blow in it for you. If a bug had gone in there, it is probably dead by now. If that is the case maybe you should shake your head to the side to get it to come out. Unless it made it's way into your brain. Then you are going to have some weird bug whispering sweet nothings to you, ha! I am sure it is nothing. I hope I didn't weird you out. Douglas send you a big wet kiss.

Ohhhhhhhhhh! Marisa had posted peeks on her blog, but this is the first time I've seen the whole quilt. Wow! So creative and imaginative. The construction is so different, too. Beautiful!

put some cheese and chocolate on your pillow tonight, whilst you sleep, and the bug will crawl out, eat it all, and be too fat to get back in!!This could go wrong in 2 ways. 1. you wake up with chocolate and cheese stuck to your face or 2. you wake up with bug on your face !!! hahaha
I love the fabrics you chose for the lovely pincushions :-) xxx

So super glad that you got the quilt, and that you like it. I had a blast making it, and I'm so glad that you were my swap partner!
Your pin cushions are really sweet and adorable. You really turned out a lot of them fast!! As for the bug in the ear...well...my husband's little cousin once lodged a raisen in her nose. When the doctor asked her how it got all the way up there she said, "I helped it." I'm sure your bug already crawled out.

Whenever my husband tries doing anything with my ear holes I yell, "Don't Krull me!" Because, somehow, I think the name of the Star Trek movie where they put the brain-bug in the person's ear is Krull ... but it's not, it's Wrath of Khan. It's brilliant though, because when I yell, "Don't Krull me!" He gets confused and forgets that he's trying to do something gross with my ear hole and just makes fun of the fact that I can't ever remember the names of movies. :)
